

The Wild Westalia 2023 fanzine aims to bring the western genre to Hetalia by showcasing western themed fanworks from various talented creators! These works focus on the 19th and early 20th century to represent the age of the Wild West through a broad range of characters.All proceeds collected over a period of one month after the 19 November release date will go to the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council.Note: This fanzine is rated PG for some works featuring course language and moderate levels of sexual and violent themes. Viewer discretion is advised.

Submission Guidelines
• The specific time period depicted in all works must fall between 1840-1912.• All works must fit a recognisably western genre theme or aesthetic (i.e. cowboys/cowgirls, shootouts, wagon trains, outlaws, sheriffs, etc.), this can be interpreted in many different ways to your heart's content. If you are unsure your work fits the theme, just ask one of the organisers!• Please ensure your works fit a PG rating at most. This rating is for moderate impact mature themes with parental guidance for those under 15 advised.• The project reserves the right to deny works that include uncritical depictions of anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, sexism, antisemitism and racism. Some heavy themes may be depicted in a thoughtful and sensitive way but may be subject change or denied.• Contact organisers through Discord, Tumblr or email if you are unsure if your work is appropriate for a PG rating or features sensitive themes you wish to have reviewed.• Shipping content is allowed unless explicitly depicted as incestuous within your work. However, Germancest and Itacest are banned.• If your work requires a specific format (i.e. you wish to include illustrations alongside your writing or wish to use a specific format for a comic, etc.), consult the organisers during the ideation period or creation period so we can best accommodate your needs.• To reiterate, make sure to contact the organisers if you're unsure of anything - we don't bite!

• Margins larger than the margin guidelines are allowed, however if you submit work with smaller margins you will be asked to change them or they will be edited by organisers to meet the guidelines.• Any creative formatting that falls within the written guidelines is allowed.• Submit written work as a DOC or DOCX file only, PDFs may be used to illustrate your desired formatting however you must include a DOC or DOCX file of that work to transfer the text efficiently.• Minimum word limit is 1k, and maximum word limit is 5k with a 10% allowance. Any contributors who submit works that do not meet the word count requirements will be asked to adjust their work.• Please advise that the font for all works is Georgia, you may submit your work in a different font however this will be changed in the final product unless a different font requested beforehand (fonts other than Georgia must not make up the majority of your work).• All written works must be standalone pieces that do not require other written works to understand.
